Some quick Moodboards to get the ball rolling...

At first i was thinking of showing a child worrying about the monster under the bed, but i think it would be more fun if it was an adult (especially an intimidating looking man) adopting the same child’s pose.

“Troubled by result” I think I’m going to have my character sprawled across the desk in despair after handing in their exam, and knowing they failed.

“Pleased to see…” - I had a few ideas for this pose but i think it would be cool to do a crazy fan girl, freaking out a celebrity. (I just really love that picture in the middle!)
Coming soon... some planning and development sketches!

Next up- Task 2, Posing!

“Using your character create a series of 3 still poses demonstrating emotions/ situations.”

We could choose from:
Waiting to start…
Late for…
Whats under there?
Troubled by result
Pleased to see…
surprised

The ICA specifies that it’s important to build an identity and context around your character pose.

The first part of this exercise is obviously the idea development through sketches...

Box and Ball almost finished!

Untitled from Amanda Mongan on Vimeo.

It took me ages to get this thing to upload properly! but here it is. I'm going to add a very simple texture to the ball before i render it, and might make some additional tweaks to the timing if i have time before the hand in. Overall i quite like it. I can definitely see a big improvement from my first attempts anyway!

So i heres my blocked out box and ball Animation. I'v added a little squash and stretch, but I still need to tweak it here and there. I also need to sort out afew issues in the timing.

I might add an extra bounce before the ball jumps onto the box, for better anticipation. I also need to add in the little celebratory hop my ball does, once it’s up there. All in all thou, i think it’s looking ok.
